New York City
New York City is an amazing , but it can be overwhelming for a lot of people – because where do you start when it comes to things to do in New York?
In this travel guide, I’ll share a few of my favourite things to do in NYC that you should consider on your trip!
First of all you can't visit New York City without visiting a rooftop or a look out from a skyscraper!
You can visit The Empire State Building but I would recommend going to The Edge or the Vanderbilt Summit so you have views on the Empire State Building! It is a magical experience whatever time of day you visit!
New York is also known for their amazing bagel and pizza places, if you scroll down I wrote down a few recommendations where to get them.
From late March/ early April the baseball season in the US starts and with tickets for the NY Yankees starting at 40$ I would definitely recommend going to see a game (even if you're not a baseball fan!) grab a hotdog and a drink and enjoy the game and the ambiance in the stadium.
(Baseball season is from late March/early April until late September/early April.)
To do
Roosevelt Island tramway
Built in 1976, this streetcar offers the most amazing views of NYC, climbing 250 feet above the East River at its peak. It was originally created to transport those who are living on the island — it is the only aerial commuter tram in the U.S. — but now can be enjoyed by everyone!
Where: E 59th St & 2nd Ave.
When: Sunday-Thursday 6 a.m. – 2 a.m., Friday-Saturday 6 a.m. – 3:30 a.m.
Pebble Beach
Located in DUMBO
(Down under the Manhattan Bridge overpass)
Is this beautiful park with stunning views of the Manhattan Bridge and the lower east side of the City.
You can go for a nice walk or just enjoy a picnic with the beautiful view.
Saturday street food market in Williamsburg (spring- summer- autumn only)
Williamsburg is a bit calmer than the city centre but still has amazing restaurants and shops and every Saturday there is a street food market with amazing quality food!
The food market is located next to a park down to the East River. That means the market area offers a fantastic view of the Manhattan skyline.
Where to book
I booked directly with FLYNYON on their website, they had a good deal and for $360 I booked my off-doors flight!

Experience of a lifetime
This experience was on my bucket list for quite some time and I am so happy I finally did it!
It's such a magical experience flying over this world famous city and I would absolutely recommend everyone to save up and do this if you visit the big apple.
What to wear
If you fly doors off make sure you have your hair up or braided to avoid getting helicopter hair (you really don't want that trust me heheh).
Wear comfy clothes because you will be buckled up so I wouldn't recommend wearing a skirt.
Also you need to wear closed toe shoes and no caps or hats allowed since they will be flying off.
Bagel oasis
This bagel store has been making their all natural kettle boiled and then baked bagels since 1961.
With lost of varieties and they are open 24h a day every day!
